  Dear Conn-West Parents/Guardians,  
  
  It’s hard to believe that May is upon us and our school year is coming to an end. As I reflect on the year, I am proud to have been a part of the many acts of excellence experienced by our students, staff and parents at Conn-West.  As you look back, I hope you are filled with the same pride and joy about the many achievements that have occurred.  This truly has been a year of Excellence for ALL! 

  Before we get to slow down for summer, there is still more to accomplish at Conn-West in these final weeks of school with lots of learning, some end of the year assessments, and tons of celebrations. We will have fun events such as an author’s visit from Derrick Barnes, Field Day and our spring book fair just to name a few. These are busy times for sure and if you haven’t noticed, busy times make childhood fly by pretty quickly. Make the most of it—get involved and enjoy it from as many perspectives as you can.
  
  Stay informed and get involved!  Please join us for the last Principal’s PIE (Partners in Education) / LINC Community Site Council meeting of the school year on Thursday, May 10th at 6:00 P.M.  We hope to see you there and thank you for joining us each month.

  In our May newsletter you will find information about student recognitions, end of the year activities, our summer reading program, a look at “summer” learning and more. Thank you for visiting our website, for your continued support and for making this an EXCELLENT school year!  Have a safe and enjoyable Summer Break!
