GC-4 curriculum - math benchmarking

The Grandview C-4 District has been participating in math benchmarking in all Algebra I, Algebra II, and Geometry classes at GHS, MCMS, and GMS for the past 3 years. This year, the math benchmarking program will be expanded to include all students participating in all Pre-Algebra and 5th and 6th grade math classes.

Math benchmarking is a focused approach that changes the learning culture from one of " I Can't" to " I Can and I Do!"

If you are interested in finding out how your child is progressing towards mastering all of the required benchmarks, check out the math benchmark classroom progress chart located in your child’s classroom.  In addition to this classroom chart, many students have been provided with an individualized math benchmark progress chart to place in their homework folder.  This chart will allow you easy access to your child’s progress.  If questions still arise, you can always feel free to give your child’s math teacher a call for additional information!
