May 2013 Principal’s Perspective

Parents, Students and Community Members,

This month concludes my first full year as your principal.  As was the case when I became part of the GHS family last spring, I continue to be encouraged by the work that is taking place, and I am excited about the promise and potential we possess going forward into 2013-14.  I truly believe we have a unique school community, and the work being done to improve our facilities places us in a position to receive local and regional recognition for our efforts.  There has never been a better time to be a Bulldog!

Please note the following list of important end-of-year events at GHS:

• GHS Honors Night- May 7th @ 7:00 PM
• Senior Breakfast /Meeting- May 8th @ 7:00 AM
• Final Senior Transcript Analysis- May 13th- 7:30 AM
• Graduation Tickets Distributed- May 14th- 9:30 AM
• Senior Locker Clean Out/Book Check-In- May 15th @ 2:10 PM
• Last Day for Seniors- May 16th  (All Fees Due)
• Senior Picnic @ J.A. Park- May 17th @ 11:00 AM
• Graduation Photo/Practice- May 20th @ 8:00 AM
• Graduation- May 20th (Doors open @ 6:00 PM)
• Grades 9-11 Locker Clean Out- May 21st @ 2:10
• Last Day of School- May 29th (Dismissal @ 10:30 AM)
  
  

Final exams will take place for grade 12 the week of May 6th.  Students in grades 9-11 will complete final exams the weeks of May 20th and May 27th.  Please remember that Monday, May 27th, is a non-attendance day.
