Props Needs
The GHS Theatre Dept. would greatly appreciate your help with props/set pieces for the spring play! Help us make this a magnificent production!!! If you have and are willing to loan any of the listed props for the spring play please contact Rachel Mears at Rachel.mears@csd4.k12.mo.us or call 816.316.5821. We will want to be working with props no later than April 9th. Performances are April 18th – 21st. The Theatre Program offers many opportunities for student involvement. Through being involved in theatre, students work to build school pride, learn about potential careers in the performing arts, build self-esteem, and strengthen their self discipline and work ethics. -
International Thespian Society – The Theatre Honor Society.
Theatre Meetings – Thespian Officers inform the department of upcoming events and provide students the opportunity to improve social and artistic skills through improvisational games and theatre activities.
Cappies – Selected students attend and review shows at area high schools.
Shows – Students may be involved on or offstage in All School Productions including a Fall Musical, Winter One-Acts, and a Spring Play. They may also assist with the Children’s Musical and Workshop.
Classes – Each Theatre class teaches theatre fundamentals essential for student success in the performing arts, and provides an outlet for students’ creativity and self-expression.
