  Dear GMS Families,
  
  It is hard to believe that the school year is coming to a close!  We have enjoyed numerous, exciting events these past few weeks.
  
  Our building Teacher of the Year - DeeAnn Moore, Support Employee of the Year -Bertha Allen, and Volunteer of the Year - Adrienne Byers were recognized at the Employee Recognition Banquet. Additionally, Ms. Moore was named the District Teacher of the Year!  We appreciate all of their hard work and the work of all those who impact students' lives everyday!
  
  We would like to thank Michelle Shackleford, one of our own GMS parents, for a great presentation on Emergency Preparedness that took place at the last PTA meeting! 
  
  The students have completed the MAP test. Each one worked hard, giving their best effort!  They are currently taking the final performance series test as well, which will show their growth from the fall performance series test they took in September.
  
  Please see the calendar below for the last few school events!  Have a safe and wonderful summer!
